Key attributes of the team include the manager of The Flea Market at Eastern Market (FMEM), decades of business activity as exhibitors and managers, as well as long working relationships with other stakeholders of the Market. The Capitol Riverfront Farmers Market at Canal Park, offering fresh produce and locally prepared foods, will open Tuesday, May 21 and operate from 4 pm to 7 pm weekly through October at 2^nd & M St., SE, at the new Canal Park, just a short block from the Navy Yard Metro (New Jersey Ave SE exit). 

Every Tuesday, Canal Park’s southern block, in front of the new Park Tavern restaurant, will transform into a festive marketplace with a dozen local farmers and vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables, breads and baked goods, herbs and spices, pickles, olive oil, jams, honey, roasted coffee beans, teas, desserts, flowers, prepared foods and more. The fresh food market is presented by the Capitol Riverfront Business Improvement and managed by Diverse Markets Management (DMM).

Situated in the large parking lot at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Ave and Pleasant Streets SE, the market will feature a diverse mix of art, crafts, imports, antiques, collectibles and furniture every Saturday from 10 – 4 p.m. The market will also feature local specialty food items such as fruits and vegetables, flowers, preserves, prepared foods and beverages, and neighborhood organizations for the community to enjoy this new neighborhood gathering place..

Every Sunday, Year 'Round

We are pleased to announce CONTINUATION OF THE FLEA MARKET AT EASTERN MARKET in Washington, DC, EVERY SUNDAY.  In 2013 we continue an agreement with the District of Columbia for OUR ^30th SEASON, our 21st at Hine Junior High School.  We are able to accommodate 100 EXHIBITORS EACH WEEK.

The flea market is located along 7^th Street SE at C Street on the Hine School grounds between Pennsylvania and N. Carolina Avenues SE, ON CAPITOL HILL.  The Eastern Market Metro Station (Orange/Blue Lines) is at 7th & Pennsylvania.  The location is enhanced by a fine urban neighborhood.  It is A FUN PLACE TO SELL.
