Announcing the 2015 Downtown Holiday Market
 

We are pleased to announce the 2015 Downtown Holiday Market exhibitor application process is now open.  Celebrating its eleventh year, this event boasts one of the most spectacular outdoor shopping environments in the region.  This year the Downtown Holiday Market (DHM) will operate for 27 consecutive days and will have 4 weekend dates.  Opening on Friday, November 27, it will run continuously through Tuesday, December 23.  Hours will be from Noon to 8 p.m. each day.

The market is held in the vibrant Penn Quarter neighborhood in DowntownDC with the Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture as its backdrop.  The festival will again be located on the wide sidewalk on the north side of F Street, stretching from 7th to 9th Streets NW. Both ends of the market are within view of entrances to the Gallery Place Metro. Adjacent to the market are the Hotel Monaco, the Spy Museum, the Verizon Center and the bustling 7th Street Gallery Place corridor with many upscale restaurants.

DHM has experienced tremendous growth in stature, sales numbers and customer attendance. This success can be attributed to the hard work of the event producers, the variety of on-site features, and the caliber of participating artists and businesses.  Additionally, DHM is well promoted by media partners and a considerable PR campaign.

Crystal City: Sparket - A Creative Market
 

We are pleased to announce SPARKET, a weekly arts market in Crystal City, Virginia, returns for its second year.

Situated on the wide shaded sidewalk on the 1800 block of Crystal Drive, it is adjacent to the Crystal Shops mall, several popular restaurants and retail establishments. Crystal City Metro is 2 blocks away and there is plenty of public parking among major office buildings, apartments and hotels.

The Sparket Creative Market will operate on Wednesdays, from 11am to 2pm, launching April 29 and running through Nov 18, 2015.  A diverse mix of art, crafts, handmade jewelry, accessories, bath/beauty and other local and handcrafted products are desired.  As an additional draw, live-music and select food products will be part of the programming mix.

We are pleased to announce MarketSW, a monthly 4 to 9 pm Friday evening arts market at Waterfront Station in SW DC, beginning on May 29, continuing every fourth Friday through October 23, 2015.

Situated on the Square at Waterfront Station at 4th and M Streets SW, MarketSW will be located among Waterfront Station Metro, Safeway, the popular restaurants Station 4 and ZBurger, and Arena Stage. There is plenty of public parking among major office buildings, apartments and the thriving Southwest neighborhood.

This brand-new market is a production of DMM supported by Waterfront Station and the Southwest Business Improvement District.

South West DC, boasts excellent demographics. 17,000 people live in the immediate Waterfront Station area with an average household income of $51,611. The neighborhood is well known for its proximity to the Washington Channel, Fort McNair, and the national headquarters of more than two dozen federal agencies. Most residents in SW are highly educated long-term condo and coop owners with senior positions in government and District agencies.

A diverse mix of art, crafts, handmade jewelry, accessories, bath/beauty, vintage and antique furniture, furnishings, accessories and collectibles, as well as other local and handcrafted products are desired.  As an additional draw, live-music and select food truck will be part of the programming mix. 

Convenient loading and free adjacent parking for the market and an affordable $40 space fee are among the market’s considerable amenities.
